>>11596719>AkaiSame functionality as the Keitai, but spriteswapped to fit the red theming. The closest to the Connection 2024 remake. You can play this knowing little to no Japanese, so it's pretty accessible, and the battery life is the best in the franchise, lasting months to even a year depending on how active your playstyle is, much better than the remake's battery life. The roster is smaller than Connection 2024, having 8 normal adults instead of the 30 there, but the selection's much more curated with the animations/exclusive items being more polished looking. Arguably the best entry for classic-style Connection gameplay.
>Entama (Jinsei)Lots of text, so basic Japanese knowledge is required. I highly recommend getting the CYOI version since the minigame selection is better/less grindy. Gameplay styling is much different, focusing on skill points for evos and the job system with care taking a back seat. Tonally, it is much more slice-of-life oriented to parallel the Tamagotchi Town worldbuilding the series had at the time with things like Corner Shop, and growths are slower, taking twice as long as usual Connections. Sizeable roster with 21 adults and an entire family grouping for everyone. A good entry if you want something different from the usual things.
Personally, I'm a big fan of classic Tamagotchi-style gameplay so I prefer the Keitai/Akai (its overall popularity is also why Bandai chose to remake the V3 with Keitai's elements), but the Entama's pretty nice too, and it's a shame its elements haven't been carried over to future entries.
