For example 80s-90s castle had lots of footsoldiers but few unique cool characters. KK1 gets shit on a lot for juniorisation, but it had a lot of cool detailed minifigs and new unique parts to combine with the older stuff. Dino Island also gets valid criticism for juniorised builds but the dinos are extreme sovvle and Dino Research Compound has lots of basic bricks in old colours compared to modern sets.
>>11614681I just bought a bulk lot that has Enchanted Island which I always wanted since I saw it as a kid, King Leo's Castle, and Dino Research Compound, the latter two which I already have. I'm excited to finally sort through it and build the island, hopefully the islander sail is still in there somewhere.
