Even though it isn't as articulate as that, the MK11 Spawn he put out like 5 years ago was only $20, and it is STILL the best Spawn he has put out since that 10th anniversary one. Since then, all the figures have either looked like shit, or look like Fisher Price toys due to the lack of paint and soft gummy plastic.

I actually supported todd's dcm in its early days and it felt like he actually wanted to give you the best bang for your buck. He would always toute in his interviews how he was already rich and didnt need anymore money or had to answer to a board of directors. Its clear now he was always full of shit and is now trying to squeeze every penny out of fans. All his stupid labels are just cheap marketing ploys to overcharge.

gold label are just exclusives with the same msrp. platinums are either variants with the same msrp, or totally different figures with separate upcs with the same msrp in the case of red platinums.

But most of Todd's fanbase are border jumpers and future astronauts that don't know any better. Not for that price jump, in fact some are much more fragile for how small the joints and parts are. Hell some have paint apps that smudge easily. The cost in their case is more with volume made and the market's tolerance of the price.
