It is now a bannable offense to make the /BST/ thread.
Effectively banning buying, selling, and trading.
Something that has been done here at /toy/ for years with no issues.

A few possibilities:
1) we know thanks to the hack that the boards has a script that would delete/ban anon if enough reports were sent. Mind you the evidence of that was implying it had to be a high number and a big issue such as reports of global rules 1 and 2 being violated however post hack everything could have been changed from the ground up.
2) looking at how low energy the response has been this could just be shitposting of how much these trade centers have died at places like this and OP is making it up. Thanks to all the social markets available now trading/selling here is about as dubious as a Facebook meet up more so with the changes many exchange systems like paypal have made over the years.
3) take point two but OP was legit and we could conclude mods have just decided such things are more trouble than they are worth. That hack showed that many slow board threads had a -lot- of samefagging and many were trade like ones such as the Secret Santa's on many boards which implies attempts at catfishing so perhaps they saw comparable on BST and just went "nope" where money is exchanging hands where as a Secret Santa is just a person getting gifted and/or grifted.

I wager most secret santas are just farming for data as many 3rd worlders can make ok money selling those emails and addresses.
