Would it even be possible to paint a figure in this sort of style? Not got anything in particular in mind, but having seen some of those awesome cel-shaded customs out there I wondered if it would be possible to do a slightly different take on it.

Basically this is what Neca does for ‘video game’ versions of figures, so yes, it is doable. The downside is that the cell shading looks best at only a certain angle depending on the source it’s imitating.

Excuse the extremely shitty picture.

I have a generic H.A.C.K.S. body and this Elsa head. I am wondering the best way to integrate the two of them together. The issues as I see them are basically

1. The Elsa head has no peg to sit in a hole and allow movement, so I'd need to make one.
2. The neck is too long, so I'd either need to drill into the head or cut the neck shorter
3. The skin color is slightly off.

Any information or ideas about how I should approach these issues is appreciated.

My 100 lot I ordered off AliExpress had just arrived and they're pretty great, even got 5 extras.
Only 1 had a flash problem which is easily fixed.
I'll be using them to fix my 3 Ryuki SIC loose and crumbling joints.

What do i sculpt out of for casting?

It cant be normal clay because silicone mold stuff specifically says it has to be sulfur free

But plasti-whatever sulfur free clay says it never dries or hardens

Whats the best shit to sculpt out of if im gonna cast it afterwards?

I've had decent results with milliput. You just have to make sure to seal it up well before casting the mold because its porous for sure.

How did you go about painting the shoretrooper? Did you leave him in one piece or take him apart at the hinges and paint those pieces separately?
I'm asking because I want to use a Black Series FO Snowtrooper for my first "real" custom and I don't really know how to get paint on all the areas that are half covered because of articulation
