Buu is really unique. Hercule isn't very articulated but has a ton of character and is very fun with his faces. Nappa would look good if you have Tenshinhan with suicide bomber or Scouter Vegeta.

Sure you could get some neat designs outta some of the henchmen from various movies but they're all mainly jobbers

Today I went into Boxlunch and it was literally all they had. 13 statues pictured here and maybe 3-4 (i guess some are subjective) could be argued not to just be leaping at or getting ready to attack some invisible opponent.

There are plenty of potential solo poses you can pull off with Dragon ball characters, I don't know why it's so hard for the people that sculpt these to be even a little creative in their ideas. I wouldn't mind paying $25-30 for a decent statue of a character I liked, it just feels like there's no creativity there, though. I'd rather pay the same amount for a Dragon Stars figure from Gamestop, it looks worse but at least there's more to do with it.

To be fair, the Brolys and the Gogeta on the top are meant to be posed in tandem with other figures of the line to simulate a fight scene (Gogeta for the far right Broly, a different Gogeta for the other DBS Broly and SS Gohan for OG Broly) and the GT Gokus are from a line that is specifically about depicting the characters executing an attack; the previous in the line was an SS4 doing the Kamehamehax10 and Gogeta doing the Big Bang KameHameHa

So they're explicitly designed to be posed together? That's even worse, I think. If you're ever going to own a statue over a figure, it should be because it looks interesting in a way a figure can't, like with effects or a ridiculous pose that joints could never get right. If you're just gonna make a set of two designed to charge at each other, and then sell them separately (which a lot of places seem to do since this isn't the first store or even franchise i've seen most of these sold separately at) then there's literally no reason to buy them.

Also I'm calling bullshit on the "meant ot be posted in tandem," thing. How are these supposed to be put together to simulate a fight scene? Gogeta didn't even fight Broly until his armor was gone IIRC

Simply facing against each other, the line itself is called Match Makers due to that. The following volume works much better since is based on the Galick Gun/KameHameHa scene from the film.

His articulation isn't poor, just not as good as other figures in the line. He can still get in a lot of cool poses plus his faces give him a lot of personality. He is extremely fun to mess with especially if you have other figures to pose him with.

Why not evil Buu? I have both Buus and they're both great but evil Buu is so smug and intimidating. Fat Buu is still really fun since his faces him him a lot of options and he has fantastic articulation.

If DF or Bandai can make every team member and have them released, they will be the very first to be able to take the claim of making the first complete Ginyu Force in non-statueshit form.

The old Irwin and Jakks figures came close but they never made a Guldo.

Nope. Official heights, Ginyu is 170mm, whereas Nappa is 175mm.

In contrast, DF Ginyu was around 180mm, so the SHF will be a full centimeter shorter.

Kinda sucks, but means they can get away with making recoome king piccolo/evil buu height and burter berserker broly size.

That's what I want them to do. I wish they would recognize their niche and stick to it.

The only things I'm interested in are things I know figuarts will never touch (ss3 gotenks, buutenks, frieza soldiers, GT, Heroes, etc.)

Yeah, I think DF are getting wise to this as well. Since Bandai have clearly given them a slap in the face by releasing:

>SSB Vegeta
>SDCC Goku Black
>SDCC Ultimate Gohan
>Battle Damage Goku
>UI Goku Head
>Kaioken 2.0
>Ginyu

All of these were announced by Bandai after DF, so at this point it's obvious they are trying to steal the market back. This is why I think Jeice & Guldo will be next.

DF are best to leave main characters alone now and focus on GT, XV, SDBH figures and sets/accessories.

I'd like to see them do a Mira & Towa!!

I think they've really wasted time making exclusive variants of existing exclusives (frieza saga goku, kaioken goku, vegetto, gohan, black, golden frieza, etc.) They need to focus fully on producing regular release 2.0's now and SROE and the new Kaioken are a good start.

So many characters still need an update. Piccolo, Future Trunks and Perfect Cell just to name 3!
