Seriously, how shut in and coddled are you to have never used a paint brush in your life? Do you only live in apartments where any modification to your living spaces are verboten? It should be a common tool everyone should own and be familiar with.
Nevermind that synthetic fibers are harsher than natural bristles and guess what these cheap make up brushes you guys keep recommending are made of? Plastic. Cheapshit paint brushes are usually "camel" hair which are one of the softest. Boar hair is one of the hardest, which is still softer than synthetics. So your caution is not. IT's just your safezone.

That is part of the reason why i don't think make up brushes are good, since they'er so densely packed together and short, they don't get into every nook and cranny like a thin paint brush can
