Just picked up the new 2019 Classic Jafar doll yesterday, and these are the differences I noticed between him and the 2013/2015 versions.
It may not look like it at first glance, but they totally redesigned his outfit. It's made out of the newer stiff fabric, but I actually like this newer version more for the following reasons.
1) The old doll had a V-neck that exposed most of his chest, which made his missing yellow neck scarf extremely noticeable. While they still didn't ad the yellow scar to the 2019 they did cover his chest more which makes it less awkward looking.
2) The outfit doesn't open from the front anymore which kinda makes it less movie accurate since the line that runs down his outfit is now missing from the 2019 version.
3) The corners of his shoulders no longer curl up like they do in the film. The corners are now just pointed like the 17" LE doll. To their credit they did sew in two little bits of cardboard into each corner to help them keep their shape.
4) they they made the hat a little taller, and fixed the shape of a little, but for some odd reason the hat is no longer pined to this head by those plastic tabs. They attached this odd looking round plastic thing that runs down the back of his neck onto the inside of his hat to help keep it on his head.
5) It could just be me but his cap seems to be way bigger than they old one.
