You may not be able to see the individual dots (unless you're inches from the toy), but you sure as hell can tell it's fuzzy and low res looking.
>>8067013The reason low res prints on lines like Hasbro and DCC looks better is because they still use normal paint apps, tampos or spray apps for things like the lips, eyes, and eyebrows/facialhair. THEN they add the low res sticker over those paint apps, so it blends into the face. It acts as shading and highlights, instead of being the entire paint app.
Bandai just applies the sticker over bare plastic, giving it a low resolution look like we see from 80s comics.
I forget who else adds normal paint apps still. Maybe Mafex?
i know Good Smile uses prints for things like eyes, but i can't guess if those are generally high quality stickers or actual paint with low res stickers.
