Shattered Glass Soundwave arrived today, and I've been looking forward to him - mostly because the only version of Soundwave I own is his Siege Soundblaster variant. Not doing a full review on him - just the basics.
He's not too different from the Siege mold, just with some new legs, less greeble, and no 'battle damage'; his chest door is also only large enough to hold one of his cassettes at a time instead of Sounblaster's two. He's got a new head that has a headband molded on, and while he technically has lightpiping in his eyes, the weird greenish-yellow plastic doesn't seem to work quite as well as on hte previous versions of the toy. He includes all the same weapons as his Siege Soundwave/Soundblaster versions, plus two tapes - Ravage and Laserbeak (who technically turn into 'shields' complete with 5mm pegs that fold down, ratehr than 'cassettes', but we all know what they're supposed to be). Weirdly, he still has those odd strut things on his forearms from Siege that serve no purpose on this version of the mold; they can flip forward and resemble laser guns in bot mode, but you can't do anything with them in Tape Deck mode because of how the transformation works.
