The Japanese text in the manual makes me think this kit was released in Japan at one point, but unfortunately I can't find any info about a Char-colored version of the 08th MS Zaku mold that came out there. Part of me also thinks this was a western exclusive that was commisioned by Bandai America, but then why wouldn't the text be in English? I find it hard to believe that Bandai Japan would go to the trouble making a new illustration, taking photos, and writing new flavor text just for a kit that would't even be released domestically. They even went to the trouble of making a new paint mixing chart with references to Gundam Color paints. Anybody else have any info on this kit?
