>>10237422Transforming this guy would be easier if the instructions weren't tiny shitty pictures that don't show the steps in enough detail. Also I'm not really sure what step had people complaining about having to bend his legs I didn't need to use force at all.
Getting him into robot mode is the easiest part I think, it's where all the steps are the most obvious (once you decipher the instructions). The helicopter mode is only a few steps from the robot mode, but it's a really bitch actually getting everything into the proper position for it to tab together securely. Going back to car mode isn't too bad overall aside from the horribly specific configuration you need to have the head and arms in to get everything to close shut.
QC on mine seems pretty good but the hip swivels and ankle hinges are really fucking loose, I gotta try and tighten the hit swivels at least at some point. The articulation is surprisingly good overall although his waist swivel is kind of crunchy due to how many folded up panels are around that area poking against each other when you try to turn it. Also doesn't really have much of a thigh rotation and personally I'm not a fan of baked-in A-stances like this, but he seems to pose well all the same. I'm really glad they made sure to include that downward wrist hinge for holding his sword out, far too many sword users are missing that.
Only major gripe I have with the figure is the lack of storage for the accesories in the car mode. The helicopter uses all of them for the transformation, the robot mode can keep all the swords on his back but doesn't really have any place to keep the rockets (they kind of fit into some tabs on the back of his shin but I don't think that's intentional), but as far as I can tell there's no place at all for any accessory in the car mode, unless I'm mistaken.
