>>7599930I'm curious as to what is the most glaring example of abuse in your eyes. As for G2, the relaunch was an unfortunate series of events combined with poor decisions. Its more an example of incompetency than abuse.
> I want people to hold the company accountable and force it to shape up by taking their spending money elsewhere and voicing their complaints.People have no problem voicing their complaints. Just go on cringefests like Brickset and EB to see autists argue. For the record I also think that there a lot of things Lego needs to change like declining piece quality and the lack of original themes. It costs me nothing to complain about those things online.
>IF. Constraction is severely limited. It lacks connection points and the shells' nonstandard dimensions prevent you from building around them. At this point LEGO buildable figures are so incompatible that they're basically straight builds and only dedicated philes can create something both original and presentable, much like in gunpla. As simplistic as CCBS is it is far less restrictive than gunpla. At the simplest level you could combine one bone and one shell in at least 5 different ways. Nearly all gunpla armor are intended to be used one way and attached in only the correct way, your only avenue for cahnge is the frame. Just think, in the most basic CCBS set you can swap parts nearly everywhere. Will all combinations look great? Fucking no, obviously it won't. But you can at least try and eventually make it work.
Do I think the system is too simplistic? Absolutely. I think the old way of relying on axle and pin connections is superior. In order for evolution Lego needs to move away from the current direction. But for variety's sake I appreciate what CCBS has brought.
