>>6986704no problem, it's actually quite simple and fun to do, the materials are cheap (you can get massive boards of insulation foam for a few bucks at a hardware store), though the Liquitex is somewhat more expensive, but will last you a while in smaller scales. You would need gloss medium, high gloss varnish, maybe even some gesso, though I never ended up using any. A good dremel or a power tool with either a sanding or wire brush bit and you can go to town and make some nice waveforms, though the wirebrush is a fucking mess and somewhat hard to use.
It's really fun making the base and seeing everything come together, I really want to make one for a 1/350 ship in the future.
