>>9627350 >>9627592 >>9627605 >>9627962>>9627894>a bunch of stuff that I totally forgot existed from a particular era of the late 90s-early 2000s, they're displayed on top of a Motorola DVR on a tube TV, and to top it off, they're not high-quality collectibles, many are cheapo figures like Micromen or trading figures. This makes me feel some type of way, nostalgia blended with longing and generally the antithesis of those super polished displays full of samey hyper-expensive figures. That's what soul is to me.>I think I also feel a longing for this type of collection because I don't understand it personally. I probably would not buy any of this stuff taken individually, because it looks kind of cheap and crappy to me, but this display is more than the sum of its parts, and I just don't have the taste or the vision to put something like this together. Looking at this strangely gives me more pleasure than my desk full of $300 Chogokins and third party TFs.I kinda looked down on it because it's not as organized as later displays I put together. Though I guess there is something earnest about just putting together whatever stuff you had in your dorm. It's a combo of old stuff I grabbed from home and stuff I found at the latest anime con or the local anime store.
I forget how cheap that desk was too. A friend found the tv on Craigslist for me. That or he found it on the street. I forget which.
