GI Joes used to be sold in every single store with a toy aisle and then some, because it used to be a mass market toyline popular with the masses.
Hasbro has failed their fans and demand has fallen so much for their toys, so now Hasbro is selling less than niche collector toylines that were sold only to adults in the early 00s.

Fucking ridiculous.
Nevermind NECA never had any outlets to sell giant 1/10 scale vehicles and all their toys have always been much more expensive. They're tini-tiny companies and they've always produced niche toylines.
so the fact you want to compare GI Joe to fucking NECA and Super7 shows how far that Hasbro's GI Joe sales have fallen.
ALSO, again, you're forgetting that mass market support drives prices down. the Dragonfly or HISS wouldn't cost $300 if retailers actually supported the GI Joe line like they did pre-2020 when GI Joe was popular. They'd also break down the toy to fit into a smaller box (see my previous image with Skystriker) and wouldn't be packaged with boxed figures. See this massive TIE Fighter? $140 when it came out. Shit's twice as big as anything posted in this thread.
It's a miracle that Hasbro has allowed the GI Joe line to continue with how poor sales have been.
