It isn't just a strait cut so I recommend using some masking tape to mark out the cut before you go ham on chopping out more than you should. My lamia for example has a curved offset down into the demonic arm to fill out the hole in the top of the msg and my centaur has a shell covers the back side of the mounting plate.
