I just looked at those Primeval work lights, and they do look nice. A full size tripod might use something like 1" diameter tubing for the legs, which is 0.05" in 1/18 scale. Metal turkey lacer skewers from Wal-Mart are almost that exact size.
The main vertical tube looks thicker. Could wrap a skewer partly in card stock to give the impression it telescopes. Or use a small diameter wood dowel for the vertical tube, and drill three holes for the tripod legs?
Getting three legs angled downward as a stable tripod might be interesting but it's doable.
