But also, when Dwayne Johnson is a big main character in a movie, it kind of already bumps it down in actual quality. Nowadays, he’s sort of like the Adam Sandler of action movies (or action comedies), where usually people without much taste like him or his movies. Plus the Rock does not make for a good Roadblock.
That movie just did a lot of weird things. Like killing of Destro without him getting a single real scene, killing off Duke in a flashback (I don’t much like Duke anyways, but even I know that was a weird thing to do. If they’re was actual build up to his death, like what the animated movie WAS going to do, then that would be fine), and a bunch of other things that I can’t remember. About the only things they did right (that I can remember, I haven’t watched it since it came in DVD and I rented it at RedBox) is Snake-Eyes’ costume and Cobra Commander’s costume. Of course some of the toys based off the movie was fine. I find it funny how the Cobra Commander toy from that line doesn’t actually match the movie version fully, but it’s like a hybrid outfit, or maybe it was made from concept art? I liked the toy’s design more than the in-movie look.
