Hasbro didn't do any strong black lining, they just did off-hue shadows which looked like crap and made no sense logically (light coming from random directions, shadows ending at random places). This is how cel-shading ought to be done, there is thought put into the types of lines used and actual comic shading techniques are used (like on the boots and the feathering on the knees and thighs. This is a near-perfect example of how I would do a "comic shading" figure, and it would be an instant purchase for me if it were poseable.
About the only bad thing I can say is that I don't like the pinched nose look to the faceplate. I know that's a classic IM thing too, but the artwork it's based on doesn't have it. Oh, and like the other anon said, the metallic feels a bit useless since those shadows were meant to indicate metallic shine in old comic books, but eh, it doesn't look too bad to me. Flat colors would have been fine but this isn't a dealbreaker.
