The PA have a lot more nubs than the standard FAGs so you'll spend more time shaving down the nubs, the pegs are a tighter fit and they are made from a more generic plastic. Also the rifles that are included with the kit are one solid piece, where as the original version is modular.
There are also some design flaws that were corrected in V2, so if you order V1 be sure to sand the leg to knee joint or it will break easily. As someone who owns both PA models I'd honestly just suggest getting one of the new Architect variants and a weapon kit or two for roughly the same price.
