>>7353259Really simple and fast builds since the parts are all pre-clipped off the sprues. Pleasantly sturdy once built. The parts take paint pretty well (not sure about the rubbery joint caps though, I didn't try painting those). I'm pleased with all of mine.
I have no idea who told you the wind-up gimmicks barely work, but they were wrong. That was my biggest surprise of the line. I generally hate gimmicks, but the walking action of the ones I own is so different and charming (with nice features like swaying tail or feet that rise and fall with each step) that I adore them. Of course, this varies from kit to kit, some of them have more expected and generic movement, like the insect ones.
