Printing so far seems to work well for just about anything, and does things PE can't do like more organic curved shapes. I used a company in scotland for my ST-26, PPLD or something, been a while. They have their design standards on their site, just design to it and you can make your own PE kits for anything you like. I recently had the brainstorm of using PE as angle irons to connect the armor plates for my 1/12th whippet that's been rotting for 5yrs. For my armored trains, the girders and main structure of the railcar will be PE, details like bumpers, trucks, shocks, etc... will be 3d printed.
