I think we can see a change in the side-eye situation and for weapons packs to be released.
My personal take is that there should be more variety in the characters, period. Regardless if it's a classic look or not.
A lot of serious collectors already have the classic looking characters, but they may not have different versions of them, which I think is a plus on the McFarlane side. I don't like that that they're concentrating predominantly on Batman. I guess that's a popularity thing, but it also goes against their idea to provide more niche stuff that other companies may not have dabbled in thus far.
In terms of the classic looks, I don't know if the rarity of that has more to do with McFarlane's decision-making, or DC wanting to advertize more contemporary books (like the death metal line). But I agree that there should be at least 1 release per character.
