Painting an Afrika Korps Panzer 4 Ausf D, and I'm intending to give it a look of desert camo painted over the top of the usual grey, but I'm not steady enough with the brush. I was going to dab the grey on with a sponge to try and smooth out the effect, then highlight the scratch edges with a light yellow later. Any other techniques to achieve this? And have I made a mistake not doing the pin wash first?
