Iron Man's has a lot of nostalgia, but not only has it been replaced by multiple newer "cooler" designs, but I think Iron Man armors are a much more unique subjective choice, and people just might not like the classic armor used for the 80th anniversary fig.
I think to a lesser degree, you could say that about Thor as well. His original costume is outdated, and personally I'm just not a fan of it. There have been a couple of great alternative looks that he's had just within the past decade.
Additionally, I find myself trying to find a good priced one of his Heroic Age armor, or his look from the beginning of Jason Aaron's run with him. That said, part of me wants to wait to see if/when we're going to get a figure of his current look.
