I knew from day one hirohito was a poor choice of site owner. The fuckface can't even put together a sentence in english, let alone keep alive an entire community of foreingers. He wasn't known for running his sites well either and just copied an existing concept. Father of imageboards my ass.
I dislike the air of supperiority and euphoria around 8gag but at least the wheelycripple knows how to manage an imageboard. It's the next best thing.
There's plenty of 4chin clones, but this is the biggest site of it's kind. If it goes down due to poor management the web won't ever be the same.
