They're good kits for a pretty reasonable price, but the compromise is of course that they often have seam-lines.
Actually, I just built a Kimaris Vidar and it has some seriously egregious legs, the armor on it is two pieces that sandwich together so you'd need to seamweld all the way down the entire leg. You could also probably do some work on the arms, and seamweld the Lance.
Here's a picture from Dalong that should illustrate it quite clearly, the Kimaris Vidar is the one in the middle.
