either that, or figure out a way to have a build your own playset/diaorama parts that come with the figures.
you could also try to figure out a retro styling appeal, with everyone resembling this version of a bastion unit, but this would need to be supported by a movie or show, likely would also play around with the roles (retired war veteran megatron resigned upon meeting someone he personally had shaped the entire world view of because of his war, but not in a way he wanted, opening him up to be explored like the comics did recently, optimus now being forced into the messiah position, and the power corrupting him so while he still was trying to do the best, it failed to work, and let's toss bumblebee and hot rod on opposing teams, bee with a merry band of misfits he makes work well, hot rod with classic nuts like warpath, wheeljack, etc.
the one thing transformers really needs to do is start runnign time forward, optimus and megatron and the great war are over with, let's have transformers after the war, where they still have their factions because of their ideals and morals, but there are others without the same ideals, like racing tribes, warrior tribes, and let's get some real organic aliens into the mix, add in some humans and transformer crossovers (if in a show, use upscaled diaclone reboot stuff for the humans, blue for protection (cops and the security forces, give thesew folks the militaristic diaclone bits liek dropships and bases) red for rescue response with diaclone mining facility bits, green for science exploration (lock down wheeljack, kamen rider bot and tons of asymmetry with the water diaclone bits) and white for space stuff (moon bases rovers, omega supreme, etc) then give the aliens 90's style neon coloring with wild shit and a power ranger xover
