>>5237266>>5237249When airbrushed, the touch dry time of enamels is around 2-3 times longer than that of acrylics, in my experience, but acrylics touch dry almost immediately, so I personally wait only 5-10 mins between light coats.
When hand brushing, however, I do prefer to wait at least 1 hour before applying another coat, especially since applying another coat with decent amount of thinners will partially strip the first coat which negates some of the benefit of putting more than one coat in the first place (covered paint strokes etc).
I really like enamels due to their self leveling nature, and predominantly use them over acrylics. Pic unrelated
