Dreamwave had such terrible art combined with horrendous story telling, yet that was all that was available at the time.
It was such utter shit as a reader, and then finding out that it was a fucking scheme by the owners of Dreamwave it just all made sense.
So no, IDW doesn't always hit the marks, but by god, this last decade has been so much better in every sense than essentially anything that Dreamwave put out.
