what's a typical lifecycle of a set? particularly an ideas set?
how long from launch until LEGO website is out of stock?
I assume soon afterwards retailers will also start going out of stock?
unfortunately I'm a little behind with how LEGO operates - just coming back to the hobby after about 10 years
I'd like to optimise when to buy sets because waiting months is fine but I'm tight with money so I'll buy just 2-3 key sets a year
I'm concerned with Orient Express because it's almost been a year since launch so I don't want it to suddenly disappear from retailers and instantly mark up 20% on Bricklink
