I tried getting in the wet palette game for the faces with Vallejo and AK figure paints. Emphasis on "I tried". Still a few colors to go on these guys, a wash for the faces and uniform, and maybe a buff drybrush on the uniform to bring out creases and pockets and shit.
I feel like injection-molded Tamiya figures from the 90's with soft details aren't really fit for trying to figure out advanced techniques like that, I feel like I should be attempting shit like this on resin and 3D printed figures.
