also, as for the redhead cleansing, it seems that most of them who do this in media don't have a single inch of creativity to put a new character who so happens to be of color, so they prey on the rare gingers and redheads to replace them.
the best solution i could come up with is to make our own tomboys and redheads (bonus points if you make redhead tomboy), hold onto them and never let go, figuratively speaking.
