They are all in serious shit if they have to fight those bugs hand to hand. That's what happen in that fight with Megs was he was ambushed and had his canon disabled. In fact that's what Ratchet was worried about when the swarm showed up was when they run out of ammo/energy they wouldn't have the means to fight them "hand to hand, even in a fair fight"
