The overlay i did was so that the head would line up length-wise. I could also have done it so that the head lines up width wise, but i wanted to do it quickly. OBviously it's not exact, but it's well within reason.
Red line is from Mafex's edge of mask to the comic's mask.
Yellow line is edge of MAfex's head to comic's head.
about 1.88x the difference (please please please don't be a dumbshit with math because i don't want to explain word problems like you're a 2nd grader) with the MAfex's head being much more narrower.
Blue line is width of mafex's eyes. White is comic's. about 1/5th?
Eyes are more or less where they should be. Same with lips. Nose as well. Because that's just human anatomy.... except for the eyes's width, because eyes are very important when it comes to an artist's style.
Could i have measured the eyes themselves? Sure, but anyone can see that those are different too... or maybe you don't, because you've already proven you like your earth nice and flat.
If i enlarged the mafex's head (negligibly) more, the differences would still be there and the eyes would be further apart on the mafex,
If i had matched the heads width wise, there would be differences in another way, because because it's two different styles and animals. Heart shaped vs horse.
