You do not magically get gud by acquiring the equipment, you get gud by constant practice. Like with any art or craft. Which by the way means that your first attempt at painting is going to look like shit (relatively speaking) no matter what you do and it might demotivate you hard enough that you will abandon the whole enterprise. If you do, let it cost you $40 and not $200.
