The above conversation reminds me of how a lot people (probably) share my opinion on figma. Figma in the late 2000s/early 2010s were more often based off higher quality anime/game series, which made the figures themselves more exciting. They were also far more inexpensive than they are now. These days it's mostly garbage flavour of the month characters and vtubers, which is really scraping the bottom of the shit barrel.
