GPS has nothing to do with pressure being applied to weak plastic, the plastic literally disintegrates and that's not what happens with Blackarachnia. If it were GPS there would be reports of other parts of the figure breaking but it's only ever the elbow.
The elbow just has a layer of paint inside the ball joint that fucks with the joint tolerance and makes it way too tight.
Pic related is my LG Blackarachnia. See how is the crack is forced open more just by inserting the ball joint? The cavity is too small for the ball.
Not GPS, just careless planning.
