>>7501023Finally after that we talked a bit about what I should be using as a base board for this. He suggested 3/8" thick plywood as the base and his alternate suggestion was a wood type he was not sure of the spelling for it, it sounds like "Spelia" if anyone here knows what he is talking about?
Now for question 3:
My vision for all of this is the result to be as close to the earlier picture as possible, with the same track and motorized points, and all the landscaping looking as nice as I can make it.
A: What should I know ahead of time or ask for with the board I get made? Will I need holes drilled through for the motorized points or to supply power to everything? I have no clue on the specifics of how motorized points work or for supplying power to track using anything other than pic related.
B: I have an idea of getting some sort of hard plastic cover or something similar that I can slot over the top and fasten to the base board with clips, so as to make storage and transport without damaging anything a realistic viability. Is this a stupid idea? If it is not, what sort of thing should I look at doing it with / how should I go about it exactly?
Thanks for any help at all, guys.
