So what happened and why was next to nothing released? Fucking Microsoft buying Activision.
Same shit happened with McFarlane and the Elder Scrolls, Fallout, and Doom line. McFarlane had way more planned out than was actually released, but as soon as Bethesda got bought by Microsoft, all those lines suddenly died. And they didn't die because bad sales, because almost everything Doom sold out fast. Apparently sales were good enough for Elder Scrolls that almost 2 years after that sudden HALT, some previously announced stuff started coming out again. Same with Doom. And only that.
Licenses usually don't account for a company being bought out and since many licenses are time specific, McFarlane couldn't release more aside from whatever was already produced, because of how long it takes to produce shit.
So if McFarlane and Jazwares want to produce shit again, they have to renegotiation with Microsoft.
