Kits made in the early 2000s are usually kinda bad. The designs themselves are cute, but their engineering, articulation, and color separation are typically pretty shit. I would avoid.
Mainline SD kits made in the late 2000s and 2010 onward are pretty good. I would buy most of these gladly.
BB Sangokuden (ie, the ones based on historical warring statues personalities) have gorgeous sculpts, but they will look horrible without painting cause all those great details come molded in big chunks of single-color plastic.
EX Standard is an unbelievably shitty line and I would avoid at all costs.
Legend BB is the best goddamn thing to happen to SDs in years, every one of them is well articulated and has excellent color separation and chrome parts. They pretty much all look great out of the box with no painting. Get the Legend BB Knight Gundam. You won't regret it.
