And toylines work on budgets. Each wave has its own budget, so they don't spend over a certain amount of money and this budget is standard across the year. So one release doesn't affect the other. This means that a vehicle being made won't affect the budget from a standard wave. Inversely, this also means that the vehicle not existing wouldn't increase the amount of molds being produced for a wave.
If you wanted to increase the molds being created, you'd need to increase the price. This is why the vehicles all have brand new molds, because they cost $50+. If you wanted more brand new molds for the DC figures, the figures would start costing $3-10 more.
So vehicles being released is just there to make McFarlane extra money with their higher price point, which benefits fans who want that sort of thing. No one is negatively affected by them being made, aside from retailers who hold onto stock too long.
