I’ve also never heard about companies complaining about getting likeness rights from his estate, like you’ll hear from Lugosi’s. So I have no idea if his estate is involved in Wolfman rights the way Lugosi’s and Karloff’s are. As a spectator, it’s a bit of a grey area.
As an aside, I’d love an ultimate Wolfman with alternate Larry Talbot bits. Larry is my favorite character from all the Universal Monsters, and Cheney did a fantastic job playing a truly cursed man. So I’m probably one of the few who’d buy just a Larry figure without Wolfman parts.
