Now toys have way more detailed paint, ridiculous articulation or transformations. Some of my $20 transformers have 28 plus steps to transform. A decent lladro ceramic statue is going to go for 600-$3000. A licensed resin statue with a smaller print run sells in the low hundreds. I would argue that toys are cheaper than they have ever been, you just feel it more because the incomes have not scaled with the price increases. Its a wage issue not a cost issue. Luckily I make over $300k a year so I can buy whatever the fuck I want, whenever I want.
