What made those original Toa work was cause they were buildable action figures in the simplest way possible. You connect the limbs to sockets, then to the body and you got to change their masks. What they offered compared to other action figures was that a kid could easily customize them. They had so few parts and an action feature that was fun. Anything built with system trying to look like a bionicle would only be bionicle in name and just be a generic system robot.
