Would have collected a Flatwoods or a Van Meter Monster in a jiffymuch like the classic monsters of literature and film, I sincerely do not understand what's keeping these companies away from the majority of these creatures. they're all public domain anyways, all they'ed have to do is come up with a unique iteration of the given cryptids for copyright purposes and they could rake in the dough.
To date the only times I've ever seen anyone try to merchandise cryptids were that one infamous cryptid action figure kickstarter from years ago and cartoon network's "the secret saturdays". the latter, although having been more successful than the kickstarter, ultimately failed to garner as much popularity as Ben 10 and thusly saw cancellation.
Also with regards to what cryptids I'd like to see, pic related would take the cake. Pascagoula elephant men are as cool as they are scary.
