What's up with the lack of catalog marketing in the Entry Grade?
Ok, let me give you context: I'm just getting into this hobby, but despite ordering several kits, the EG RX-78-2 (full weapon set) is what just arrived first. I've been too busy to assemble it, but was curious about the product so I opened it. Documentation was pretty good for instructions, but nothing to get a kid excited about the next purchase?
I'm thinking back to when I was a teenage boy. Packing even a single color sheet teasing other products in the line by using some cool pics and some flavorful copy made me beg my parents for more when it came to other toys back then.
Let's not forgot anyone with a passion for modeling is likely to engage with a physical piece of catalog marketing much more than, "just go to the website". This kit is meant to convert and onboard new gunpla customers for life, right?
It just bothers me. It's a head scratcher. Like they're leaving money on the table by not splashing out an extra couple pennies on marketing. Is it always like this? Is this a Japanese thing?
