>>8760012I'm going to give it a gloss farnish after this all dries. It didn't come out exactly as I was intending, but it let me know that the general process I was thinking of can work. I just need to be more careful about my color choices. There's actually two layers of purple in there, a dark and a light. Unfortunately the dark is so dark it looks black against the green plastic. If I had chosen a brighter background purple the gradiation between highlight and background would have been more subtle. A learning experience if nothing else.
