The technique for the elbow might allow some weird movements, but better more than less and the hand piece works out very well scale & functionality-wise. I can't help but get peeved at that neck connection though. Could you maybe use one of the ball on bar nexoknights crossbow projectiles with a stud with hole through it instead?
Also to the anon WAY back that speculated a very weird new piece in that minecraft set, you were totally right!
